Set in the breathtaking Canadian wilderness, Northwest Trail stars action hero Bob Steele as Mountie Matt O'Brien. The stern and stoic Steele gets assigned his toughest mission yet: escorting a beautiful, wealthy, and feisty woman to her uncle cabin! The gorgeous Joan Woodbury plays a peppery dame who knows nothing of the hinterland and annoys Steele to no end. What seems like a softball mission quickly turns into mayhem, when the two stop at a logging camp and Woodbury's purse is stolen. The purse contained $20,000, but the missing money soon becomes the least of their worries as a secret gold smuggling operation is uncovered!
